1. What the tool is

The Play SOS Decoder is a paid digital tool by Pocket Pedagogy. It helps parents and carers think through a child's behaviour using everyday play patterns, through an interactive book and an AI chat called the Decoder. It is for your own personal, non-commercial use at home.

2. Access and payment

• Entry to this site is by password protection. Passwords are issued upon payment.
• Sign-up and payment happen on a third-party platform managed by Pocket Pedagogy. When you sign up or pay there, that platform's own terms and privacy policy also apply to you.
• Once your payment is confirmed, Pocket Pedagogy emails your password to the address you gave at sign-up.
• Your password is for you and your household. Please don't share it publicly, post it online, or give it to people outside your home.
• We may change or revoke a password if it is shared publicly or misused, and we may rotate passwords from time to time for security. If that happens, paying customers receive the new password by email.
• The tool is for adults, as parents or carers. It is not for children to use.

3. Using it fairly

• Never enter a child's name, age, photo or anything that could identify a child or family. Describe the behaviour only.
• Use the tool to support your own thinking. It is not a final answer.
• Don't copy, resell, redistribute or reuse the tool, the book content or its responses commercially. All content remains the property of Pocket Pedagogy.
• Don't try to break, scrape, reverse engineer or overload the tool, or use it for anything unlawful.

4. AI responses

The Decoder uses natively trained artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI responses may not always be correct, complete or suitable for your situation, however confident they sound. They are general educational information, not advice about your specific child.

5. Your own judgement

The Play SOS Decoder assists your thinking. It never replaces your own judgement as a parent or carer, or advice from qualified professionals. See our Disclaimer for full details.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the tool available, but we don't guarantee it will always be online or error-free. We may update, pause or withdraw the tool at any time, and may update these terms with notice on this page. If we withdraw the tool permanently, we will give paying customers reasonable notice by email.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Pocket Pedagogy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tool or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
