Privacy Policy

The short version: the tool itself stores nothing about you, and we ask you not to enter anything that could identify a child. Sign-up details are handled separately, as explained below. Effective October 2026.

1. The tool stores no information about you

No accounts on the tool. There is nothing to sign up for here. Entry is by a shared password, so the tool does not collect your name, email or any account details.
Your chats are not stored. What you type is used only to generate a response in the moment. Chats live in your browser window only and are cleared when you close or refresh the page. We do not keep a record of your conversations.
Nothing else is saved. The interactive book keeps no progress, no bookmarks and no notes once you leave the page.

2. Sign-up and payment information

Access to the tool is purchased through a third-party platform managed by Pocket Pedagogy. When you sign up and pay there, that platform collects the details needed for your purchase, such as your name, email address and payment information. Payment card details are processed by the platform's payment provider and are never seen or stored by us.

Pocket Pedagogy uses your sign-up email only to send your password and essential updates about the tool, such as a new password if one is issued. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else. The third-party platform's own privacy policy applies to how it handles your information.

You can ask us at any time to correct or delete your sign-up details by emailing hello@pocketpedagogy.com.au.

3. Never enter identifiable names

Please describe the behaviour, not the child. Do not enter names, ages, photos or anything that could identify a child or family. We do not encourage the use of identifiable names, and because we ask you to leave them out, no identifiable information about children should ever be sent anywhere by the tool.

4. AI processing

The Decoder uses a third-party AI provider to generate responses. When you send a message, the text is transmitted to that provider over an encrypted connection, for the sole purpose of generating your reply. It is not retained by the provider beyond what is needed to complete your request.

5. Basic technical data

Standard, aggregated usage and log data may be processed by our hosting provider to keep the tool running and secure. This contains no personal information you enter into the tool.
